Dennis Loren Osborn of 53 North Outer Drive, Vienna, Ohio, died on Tuesday (8-7-2007) at home following an extended illness. He was 75. Mr. Osborn was born in Washington D.C., on June 27, 1932, a son of Ernest and Wilda J. (Koon) Osborn. A 1950 graduate from Vernon High School, Dennis went on to serve our country in the U.S. Army as a SFC (T) during the Korean Conflict. His decorations and citations include: the Korean Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal. Mr. Osborn retired from LTV Republic Steel, Warren, Ohio in 1985 after 31 years as a Chemical Lab Foreman. He was a member of the Vienna Presbyterian Church, where he was a former session member of the church, and a member of the VFW Post #3521, Vienna. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening and floral gardening. Survivors include: his wife, Lona B. (Bryner) Osborn, whom he married June 2, 1956; his children, Rev. Dale Lee Osborn & his wife Rhonda, Kirtland, OH, David A. Osborn & his wife Evie, Las Cruces, NM, Darrell L. Osborn & his wife Judy, Chesterland, OH, and Janice Horner & her husband Gary, Johnston Twp., OH; his sister, Delores Tidd, Vienna, OH; and his grandchildren, James, Michael, Rebecca, Daniel, Liz, Matthew, Stephen, & Nicholas. He was preceded in death by his parents; by his brothers, Larrel & Lawrence Osborn; and by his grandson, Adam Osborn. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at the Madasz Funeral Chapel, Brookfield, Ohio, with Rev. Albert Shakley, Retired Pastor. Calling hours will be Thursday from 7-9 PM. Burial will be in Vienna Township Cemetery with full military honors. As an expression of sympathy, the family suggests contributions can be made to the Hospice of the Valley.
