Dinah Taddei

Dinah Taddei, 73, passed away at her home in Canfield following a two-year battle with cancer. She was born in Youngstown on Aug. 20, 1943, the daughter of Glen and Beryl (George) Martin, and lived in the area most of her life. In the years following her graduation from Austintown Fitch High School, Dinah developed a passion for antiques. Her love of reading and history, and experience in business helped her earn a living as an antiques dealer. Before her illness, Dinah remained very active through her love of gardening, and physical activities such as golf and tennis. She also enjoyed cooking, entertaining friends and family, and spending time with her granddaughter, Jana. Her husband, Fred Taddei whom she married June 1972, passed away October 1993. Dinah is survived by her two children, Vince (Andrea) Taddei, of Warren, and Caroline (Sean) McGreevey, of Louisville, KY.; granddaughter, Jana Caroline Taddei, step grandson, Jackson Neuman; brother Bill Martin of Cleveland; and two sisters, Corrine Crish of Boardman, and Carole Martin of Dallas. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Jean Purucker, Patricia Martin, and Judy Fortnat; and two brothers, Richard and Glen Martin Jr. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Of The Valley and Yellow Brick Place. A memorial service was held for friends and family on Wednesday.
