Dolores Mae Meredith

Dolores Mae Meredith passed away Wednesday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Hospital, she was 81. She was born May 8, 1925, in Youngstown a daughter of the late Walter and Edna Perkins Grapentine. A homemaker, Dolores was an active member of Mahoning United Methodist Church since 1937. She sang in the church choir and taught Sunday School for over 50 years. She also sang at the Rodef Shalom Jewish Temple for 26 years and was an avid animal lover. She is survived by her husband Norman whom she married August 8, 1945; two sons: Terry Lee Meredith of Sanger, TX, Ralph R. Meredith of Allen, TX; a daughter: Dawn E. Crosby of Canfield; seventeen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Besides her parents, a brother Ralph Grapentine precede Dolores in death. Friends may call from 10:30 – 11:30 AM Monday at the Mahoning United Methodist Church, where a funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM. Contributions may be made to the Mahoning United Methodist Church, or Angel’s for Animals, 4750 St. Rte. 165, Canfield, OH 44406 in Dolores’s name. Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel has been entrusted to handle the arrangements.
