Dona Marie Rigg

Dona Marie Rigg, age 85 of Johnston Twp., Ohio, died on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, Ohio. She was born on August 2, 1928 in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of the late Raymond and Helen Vickroy Thorp. Dona was a homemaker and in her spare time she volunteered at the Nutrition Center in Kinsman and helped to feed the elderly. She enjoyed cooking, baking and stock car races. Survivors include her husband, Claud Herbert Rigg, I, whom she married on March 8, 1961; her children, Donald Earl Rigg of Johnston Twp., Bobbie Lou (Timothy) Broom of Holkes Bluff, Alabama, Sandy Seller of Burton, Christy (Frank) Phillips of Cortland, and John (Janet) Reed of Middlefield; 23 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Other than her parents, Dona was preceded in death by her son, Claud Herbert Rigg, II; and one sister, Lois Thorp. A celebration of Dona's life will take place on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Noon at Kool Lakes Pavilion in Garrettsville, Ohio.
