DONALD A. KEYS, 78 VENICE, FLORIDA-- A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at First Covenant Church for Donald A. Keys, 78, of both Youngstown and Venice who died Saturday March 7 in Venice. Mr. Keys was born December 12, 1936 in Youngstown, a son of Samuel and Lena Miller Keys. Don was a graduate of Rayen High School and had attended Youngstown State University. He was an electrician for over 40 years, working for various area contractors, retiring in1999. Don was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church in Venice Isle and a member of the former Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Youngstown. He was a member of IBEW No. 64. Don enjoyed sports, bicycling, and photography. He also bowled in the church league in Venice. Don leaves his wife of 56 years, the former Roberta J. Schmidt whom he married August 22, 1958; his daughters, Julie (Dale) Wire and Linda Keys; and his granddaughters, Rachel and Debbie Wire. Don was greeted in heaven by his son, Ken; and his sisters, Ruth Williams, Jean Keys, and Helen Prater. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M.
