Funeral services will be held at 11am Saturday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Donald C. Yakimoff, 58, who died Monday morning in St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Youngstown. He was born September 18, 1950 in Youngstown, a son of Boris and Bertha (Bundy) Yakimoff, and he resided in this area all of his life. He was a 1968 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School and he worked as a millwright for Mittal Steel in Warren for several years until his retirement in September of this year. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman and he enjoyed camping, fishing, and four wheeling with his family and especially his grandsons. He was a member of the NRA, the Moraine Sportsmans Club, and the Mahoning County Coon Hunters Club. He is survived by his wife, the former Elizabeth M. (Oyler), whom he married March 21, 1970. He also leaves a daughter; Debra (Eric) Shumaker of Austintown; two grandchildren; Eric and Jacob; a brother Ralph (Judy) Yakimoff of Austintown; a sister Corrine (Frank) Mulhall of Austintown; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother George. Friends may call from 5-7pm Friday at the funeral home.
