Donald E Boye

Donald E. “Fritz” Boye, 78, of Howland Township, passed away Thursday afternoon, February 3, 2011 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital following heart surgery. Born May 31, 1932 in Warren, he was the son of the late Earnest W. and Jane (Gabert) Boye. Fritz was a 1950 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and earned his BSPh from the Ohio Northern University in 1954. A proud veteran, Fritz served his country in the United States Army Medical Corps. A lifetime area resident, Fritz was the owner and operator of Recovery Drug Inc. retiring in 1993. He was also co-owner of Boye Realty along with his wife. Fritz was an active member of St. James Catholic church serving as head usher for the past several years. He was a member of the Trumbull County Pharmaceutical Association, of which he was past president, and the Ohio Pharmaceutical Association. Throughout his career and beyond his retirement Fritz always maintained an active pharmacy license. He was also a member of the BPO Elks Lodge #295 in Warren. Fritz was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and also cherished his extended family. He enjoyed gardening, golfing, reading, and travel. Fritz will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Pauline (Del Bene) Boye of Howland Township., whom he married February 2, 1957 and with whom he has shared 54 years of marriage. He is also survived by his four loving children, Mark (Kristina) Boye of Greenwood, IN, Greta (Nicholas Rocco) Boye of Washington, D.C., Karl (Susan) Boye of Howland Twp., and Julie (Thomas) Boychan of Cincinnati, OH; eight grandchildren, Bryan Boye, Nicole Parish, Mark Kris Boye, Kayla and Kristen Boye, Evan, Eric and Laura Boychan; and by a great granddaughter Lola Parish. He was preceded in death by his parents and by an uncle, Rudolph “Rudy” Boye. Rev. Charles Crumbley will celebrate a Mass of Christian burial Monday morning, February 7, 2011 at 11 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church. Family and friends may visit from 9:30 until 11 a.m. at the church. Interment will take place in the All Souls Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel.
