North Jackson- Funeral services will be held at 11 am Thursday at the First Federated Church in North Jackson for Donald Dennison of North Jackson who died Monday at his residence. Don was born October 8, 1925 in Youngstown the son of Emmons and Mary (Opre) Dennison and was a life long area resident. Don was a member of the First Federated Church. He had been employed through out the years, doing carpentry work and mechanical work for people. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the Army in the Philippines and Occupational forces in Japan. Don was an avid golfer, bowler and fisherman, he always looked forward to his Canadian fishing trip He is survived by his wife of almost 58 years, Lorain(Campbell) Dennison, children; Phillip and Chris Dennison of Canfield, Robert and Celesta Dennison of Austintown, Deborah Dennison (David Domenic) of Warren, Mary Lou and Dave Byrdy of Hubbard, sister Sally Miller of North Jackson, grandchildren; Matthew Dennison and Joseph Brydy. He was preceded in death by his sister Dorothy Groom. Family and friends may call from 5-8 pm Wednesday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel and from 10-11 am Thursday day at the church. The family requests that memorial tributes take the form of donations to Forum Hospice.
