DONALD F. KERR, 82 CANFIELD-There will be Private Services for Donald F. Kerr, 82, who died Saturday afternoon at his residence. Don was born July 27, 1933 in Cleveland Heights, the son of Clarence F. and Lelah Brown Kerr. Don was a District Manager with Western and Southern Insurance Co., retiring in February of 1990. He was a graduate of Cleveland Heights High School and held various certifications from the Ohio Department of Insurance. Don was a member of Canfield Methodist Church. He was also a member of Western Mahoning County Kiwanis, the Burton Masonic Lodge in Burton, OH and several golf leagues. Don had been the Director of the local American Red Cross and a volunteer with the Canfield Fire Department. Don loved to golf and was a volunteer with several area PGA and LPGA golf tournaments. He also enjoyed woodworking and reading. Don is survived by his wife of 61 years, the former Evelyn Manley whom he married May 1, 1954; his daughter, Debra L. Tieche of Canfield; his grandchildren, Robert J. (Jenna) Tieche of Canfield and Katie T. (Joe) Serensky of Berlin Center and his gr. grandchildren, Alyssa, Joey and Timmy Serensky and Robbie, lll, Anna and Mia Tieche. Don was preceded in death by his parents and his son-in-law, Robert J. Tieche, Sr. The family would like to thank Don's caregivers, Jeff, Cocoa, Tiff and Shawnee and Hospice of the Valley for their compassionate care and concern for Don.
