Donald M. Harris

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Bailey Road Baptist Church for Donald M. Harris of McDonald who died Tuesday morning at his home Don was born Feb. 21, 1917 in New Castle, PA. A son of David R. and Anna B. McQuay Harris. He had worked in maintenance at General Electric Mahoning Glass Plant, Niles retiring 1982 after over 40 years of service. Don was a member of Bailey Road Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Agnes McCormick, whom he married August 24, 1940; two children a daughter Sue and her husband Martin Hamer of McDonald and a son Donald W. and his wife Elizabeth Harris of Knoxville, TN; a brother David R. Harris of McDonald; six grandsons Keith, Craig, and Matthew Hamer and Brian, Dr. Timothy, and Scott Harris; and five gr. grandchildren. Three sisters Grace Maitland, Elizabeth Velker, and Blanche Harris precede him in death. Friends may call from 1-3 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Lane Funeral Home, Mineral Ridge Chapel and Friday from 10-11 a.m. at the Bailey Road Baptist Church. The family request memorial tributes to the church.
