Donald R. Crain

Donald R. Crain of 408 Arlington Avenue, Niles, Ohio, died on Tuesday (8-29-2006) in the Trumbull Memorial Hospital. He was 51. Mr. Crain was born in Warren, Ohio on January 1, 1955, a son of Reino O. “Ray” and Eileen M. (Beach) Crain. A 1973 graduate from Niles McKinley High School, Don worked as an assembler for General Motors Co. for 23 years. He was a Fireman and EMT with McKinley Heights Volunteer Fire Dept from 1970-1974; and a former Assistant Fire Chief with Lordstown Fire Dept. Don also was a former State of Ohio T & I Fire Trainer and he was active in the McKinley Mutual Benefit Association. He was a member of the VFW Post #252, Niles. In his spare time, Don enjoyed High School Football and watching the Cleveland Browns. He enjoyed his years as a Fireman and he was a great organizer. Survivors include: brother, Mark A. Crain, Vienna; aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM Friday at the Madasz Funeral Chapel, Brookfield, Ohio, with Rev. Dr. Wayne L. Sherman, Pastor of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Warren, Ohio. Calling hours will be one hour prior. Burial will be Brookfield Township Cemetery.
