Donald R. Mcknight

Donald Raymond McKnight, age 75, of Kinsman, died unexpectedly Thursday, August 5, 2010 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital ER in Warren. He was born on July 9, 1935 in Ashtabula, a son of the late Roy A. McKnight and the late Mabel Lunn McKnight. Donald was a graduate of Brookfield High School and served his country in the United States Army stationed in Germany. He attended the Kinsman Chapel of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church and had worked as a computer analyst for over 50 years, retiring from EDS in 1999. Donald enjoyed playing tennis and played in many tournaments as well as taught the KASP summer tennis program for many years. He enjoyed golfing as well as teaching young children how to play golf. Donald was an avid cyclist, swimmer and walker. He liked playing basketball, horseshoes and cards. Mostly, Donald enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him. Donald is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Jean Prior McKnight , whom he married on March 25, 1960; daughter, Denise (Jim) Scaduto of Columbus and his son, David (Monica) McKnight of Kinsman, 4 grandchildren, Ryan Scaduto and Elizabeth, Kurtis and Ian McKnight. Also surviving is an aunt, Doris Smith of Warren, uncle, William Cholka of South Carolina and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Carole Cooper. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Madasz Funeral Chapel in Brookfield, where the family will receive friends on Monday, August 9, 2010, from 5PM � 8PM. Funeral services will be held at the Kinsman Chapter of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at 11AM. Interment will be at the Kinsman Twp. Cemetery in Kinsman.
