Donald Raymond Lesnoski

Donald Raymond Lesnoski, 81 of Howland Township, went to be with his Lord Wednesday evening, January 22, 2014 at Parma Hospital following a short illness. He was born January 2, 1933 in Warren, the son of the late Michael and Veronica Bilecki Lesnoski. Don was a 1951 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and then served in the Army as a staff sergeant in the 82nd Airborne during the Korean War. He retired in 1998 from Copperweld Steel, where he worked as a millwright for 43 years. Don was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish (St. James Church) in Warren and was a life member of the Elks Lodge No. 295 in Warren. He enjoyed camping and fishing with his friends and casino bus trips. He loved feeding the birds and birdwatching. He is survived by and will be deeply missed by his wife of nearly 57 years, Sheila L. Eddy Lesnoski, whom he married June 29, 1957; his two children, Tom (Kelly) Lesnoski of Niceville, Fla and Cynthia (John) Wayland of Parma Hts.; four grandchildren, Allie and Megan Lesnoski and Jesse and Jenna Wayland; two great granddaughters, Addison and Marleigh Milner; his mother-in-law, Dolores Eddy of Howland; one brother, Patrick (Helen) Lesnoski of Warren; two sisters, Stephanie (Mac) Quinley of Southgate, Mich. and Beatrice Ussrey of Lemonister, Mass. and two sisters-in-law, Lois and Dorothy Lesnoski both of Warren. Several loving nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Besides his parents, nine brothers and sisters preceded him in death. The funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 1, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish (St. James Church) in Warren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 31, 2014 at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren snd also one hour prior to the mass in the church. Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the memorial fund at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish.
