Donato J. Petrucci

Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Friday, August 17, 2018 at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Donato J. "Daniel" Petrucci, 90, of Warren, formerly of Mineral Ridge. Dan, as he was known as, passed away early Tuesday morning at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. He was born May 10, 1928 in New Castle, the son of Gabriel and Florence M. Petrucci. Dan retired from Republic Steel where he was a foreman. He was a catholic by faith, a member of the ITAM, the Saxon Club, and the Maennerchor. His hobbies included golfing, fishing, and playing cards. Dan served in the US Navy on the USS Iowa. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. His beloved wife, and the love of his life, the former Helen Bernabe, whom he married July 28, 1951, passed away May 18, 2012. Dan leaves two daughters Patricia (Petrucci) Varie and her husband Arthur of Poland, and Sharon (Petrucci) Homchosky and her husband Carl of Bristolville, six grandchildren, Alicia, Amanda (Ryan), Carla (Tony), Crystal (Rob), Carl (Erika), and Carol, one brother Patsy Petrucci of New Castle, 12 great grandchildren, and Jeff Cave who was like a son to him. Besides his parents and wife Donato was preceded in death by a daughter, Roberta Petrucci and a brother, Joseph Petrucci.
