Donna Lee Potter

Funeral services celebrating the life of Donna Lee Potter will be held Wednesday at Lordstown Lutheran Church for Donna Lee Potter who passed away early Saturday morning, July 25, 2015 at Hospice House with her family by her side. Donna was born July 26, 1937 in New Castle, PA., the daughter of the late Paul and Delta (Fetterman) Finley. She was a graduate of Fitch High School and also a graduate of the Hannah Mullins School of Practical Nursing. Donna worked as an LPN for St. Elizabeth Hospital, where she would tell you that she was the best LPN ever. She enjoyed ceramics and had also taught ceramics for years. Donna was a member of the church and she and her husband Gene were also former members of the Western Reserve Band Boosters for many years. Donna also enjoyed reading. She leaves her husband Gene Potter, whom she married May 20 1978, seven children, Kirk Zimmerman, Bonnie Violante, Shawn Whited, Pam Raidel, Gene Potter Jr., Cathy Fogg, and Shawn M. Potter. Donna also leaves two sisters, Joyce Whittaker and Debbie Rubin, as well as 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Besides her parents, Donna was preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Dios and Linda Robinson. Friends may call from 5 to 7 PM Tuesday at the Lane Family Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel and again from 10 to 11 AM Wednesday at the Lordstown Lutheran Church where service will be at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made to the Hospice House, 9803 Sharrot Road Youngstown, Ohio 44514, in Donna's name.
