Donna Mae Stanyard

Services will be 11 AM Thursday at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel for Donna Mae Stanyard, 75 of Canfield who passed away Saturday in St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Donna was born May 11 1932 in Youngstown the daughter of Leroy and Helen (McNabb) Frease and was a life long area resident. She was a school bus driver with MRDD for several years and prior worked for Ohio Bell. Donna was a graduate of South High School class of 1949 and was of the Methodist faith. She was an avid Steelers fan, enjoyed bingo and was active in 4H. Most of all Donna enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports. She was known by all as Grandma Donna. She leaves her husband William Stanyard whom she married October 13, 1951, two children; William Jr. (Kelli) Stanyard of Atlanta GA, and Kim (Dave) Peterson of Canfield, five grandchildren; Emily, Adam, and Todd Peterson and Zachary and Caitlin Stanyard. Donna also leaves four brothers; John, Kenneth, Ronald, and David Frease all of Youngstown, two sisters Ella Waterbeck of Youngstown and Mary Green of Nevada. Donna is preceded in death by three brothers; Dale, William, and Robert Frease, and one sister Ruth Warchol. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests material tributes take the form of donations to Hospice of the Valley 5190 Market Street Boardman, Ohio 44512 or to 4H C/O 490 S. Broad Street Canfield, Ohio 44406 in Donna’s name.
