Donnie M. Campbell

Services will be at 1:30 PM Saturday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Donnie Campbell, 69, of Youngstown who passed away Wednesday in Omni Manor Care Center. Donnie was born April 23, 1938 in Louisville KY, the daughter of Justice and Glenna (Simmons) Hooper. She worked for the Boardman School System as a cleaning matron for 23 years retiring in 1994. Donnie was a member of the Church of God. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren more than anything else. Her husband Lloyd Campbell, whom she married December 23, 1950, passed away August 30, 1991. Donnie leaves three daughters; Barbara (Robert) Dennis of Salem, Clara (George) Dennis and Rita (Robert) Diana both of Youngstown, a brother, whom she raised; George (Debbie) Hooper of Austintown, four sisters; Becky Emery and Alajean Larkins both of Kentucky, Wilda Strange of Indiana, and Anna Mae George of Kentucky, four other brothers; Russell, Jesse, Lee, and Buddy Hooper all of Kentucky, as well as 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren and one on the way. Besides her parents and husband, Donnie was preceded in death by a son Dennis Campbell and an infant daughter Ardena. Family and friends may call tonight from 7 to 9 PM and again from 12:30 to 1:30 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
