Dora Ann Troup

Dora Ann Troup, 88, of Sebring and formerly of Warren passed away peacefully Tuesday afternoon, February 16, 2011 in Salem community hospital. Dora was born November 14, 1922 in Warren the daughter of the late Clyde E. and Anna (Metrick) Harris. A 1940 graduate of Howland High School, Dora worked as a secretary for Judge Sydney W. Jones for several years. She was a member of the editorial staff of Packard Electric Division, GMC for a short time and worked for many local attorneys until her retirement. She enjoyed oil painting and making dolls and was truly a wonderful person. Dora lived and enjoyed a long and fulfilling life. Dora married Paul L. Troup December 3, 1949. Together they shared 29 years of marriage before he preceded her in death in April of 1979. She is survived by a son James E. Troup of Lakewood, CO and two grandchildren. Dora was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Clyde O. Harris. Rev. Bob Long will conduct a funeral service Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel where family and friends may visit for one hour prior to the service from 1 until 2 p.m. Burial will take place in the Crown Hill Burial Park.
