Doris A.M. James

Doris James of Struthers, OH, died at 11:00 PM Tuesday at The Hospice House. She was 77. Mrs. James was born in Altoona, PA on Dec. 7, 1929, a daughter of Blair and Sadie Feathers Robinson. Doris was employed at the Belmont Eye Clinic for 6 years, but spent most of her life with her loving family. She was a member of the Western Reserve United Methodist Church, Eastern Star Miriam Chapter, Social Order of the Beaucent Order, Youngstown Mothers of Twins, and 32nd club. Her husband, David W. James, whom she married March 24, 1948, died Dec. 3, 1981. Survivors include: 3 daughters, Linda and her husband Frank Stellato of Struthers, OH, Sheri and her husband Frank Spano of Newton Falls, OH, and Lori and her husband Jon Ramsbottom of Struthers, OH; 2 sons, David W. and his wife Patty James of North Jackson, OH, and Terry and his wife Sue James of Austintown, OH; a sister Phyllis and her husband Gerald Smith of Niles, OH; 17 grandchildren, Brian, Chris, and Matt Stellato, Dan James who was raised by his grandmother, Gina Tucker, Jaclyn Iagulli, Terry James, Marshall Silvernail, Michael and Tommy James, Christy Liber, Sandi Gorvet, Kelly Patris, Jon and Cari Ramsbottom, Brandy Hoffman, and Kristy Moore; 13 Great Grandchildren; She was also survived by several Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by: her parents; 2 sisters, Hilda DeIuliis and Betty Tarr; 2 brothers, Robert and Blair Robinson Jr. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at Western Reserve United Methodist Church. Calling hours will be from 6-9 PM Thursday at Lane Funeral Homes – Austintown Chapel. There will also be calling hours an hour prior to the service on Friday at the Church Memorial Contributions can be made to the Hospice House.
