Doris E. Hume

Doris E. Hume, 74, of Brookfield more recently of Kinsman passed away peacefully at 12:15 AM on Monday morning February 20, 2012 at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna. She was born on July 30, 1936 in Sharon, PA the daughter of Lyle J. and Doris (Wilcox) Hayes. Mrs. Hume was a 1954 graduate of Brookfield High School and was a Brookfield resident for most of her life only spending the last nine years in Kinsman. A loving a devoted homemaker, she enjoyed camping with her family, playing cards, bowling and was a former member of the Masury V.F.W. Post #8860 Ladies Auxiliary. Doris is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years Allen J. Hume whom she married on October 10, 1953. She will be sadly missed by her three daughters Mary Redman of Vienna, OH, Dee Bacon and her husband Richard of Kinsman, OH, and LouAnn Jones of Brookfield, OH; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Hume was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Linda Sue Gregg, her son David A. Hume, and her brother Wallace Hayes. Funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon at 4:00PM at the Madasz Funeral Chapel in Brookfield, OH. Close friends and family may call one hour prior to the start of the service.
