Doris Irene Cline

Salem-There will be a funeral service held on Monday, May 12, 2008, at 11 AM at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel for Doris I. Cline, 85, who passed away Friday, May 9, 2008 at Blossom Rehabilitation in Salem, OH. Doris was born June 4, 1922 in New Matamoras, OH the daughter of the late William R. and Marie T. Stickle Schmidt. She married Guy E. Cline on Dec. 31, 1945, he passed away on June 5, 1993. Mrs. Cline was a homemaker. During World War II she worked for Timken Roller Bearing Co. in Canton, OH. She was of the Protestant faith. Doris is survived by, 3 sisters, Mrs. Wilma Bott of Woodsfield, OH, Mrs. Frances Hixson of New Martinsville, WV, and Mrs. Betty Christy of Graysville, OH; she is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Mrs. LeOma Athey, and Mrs. Margaret Hartshorn; a brother Edward E. Schmidt; 3 nephews, Mitchell Christy, Gary and Larry Athey. Visitations for friends and family will be 2 to 6 PM on Sunday at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel and an hour prior to the services on Monday.
