Doris (Hypes) D'Amato, of Howland, passed away May, 13, 2013 at the Shepherd of the Valley in Niles. Doris was born July 15, 1932 in Marion, OH, daughter of Jason and Nelle (Loper) Hypes. She was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Church in Warren, enjoyed cooking, baking, bingo and crocheting. Prior to retirement, Doris worked as a housekeeper at St. Mary's Rectory and the Howland Dairy Queen. Doris is survived by her husband of 65 years, Anthony "Tony" D'Amato; two sons, Vincent (Stuart McBride) D'Amato of Greenville, SC and Mark D'Amato of Aberdeen, MD.; daughter Lisa (Rick Van Kirk) Haas of Warren; four grandchildren, Robert, Laurie, Amy and Michelle and four great grandchildren, Christopher, Jason, Daniel and Joshua. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6-8 PM at the Lane Family Funeral Home, Roberts-Clark Chapel 180 Garfield Dr., Warren, OH 44483. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 AM Monday at the Blessed Sacrament Church 3020 Reeves Rd. Warren, OH 44483. Entombment will follow in All Souls Cemetery in Cortland. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made in her name to the Blessed Sacrament Elementary School Scholarship Fund 3020 Reeves Rd. Warren, OH 44483.
