There will be a funeral service 11 AM Wednesday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Dorothy L. Garstka of Youngstown, who passed away Saturday morning at Forum Health Northside Medical Center. Dorothy was born July 9, 1926 in Youngstown a daughter of the late Harold and Dorothy (Hunt) Ray. Dorothy had worked at the main Isaly's in the packing department. She was a member of the Wickliffe Presbyterian Church. Dorothy enjoyed bowling, golfing, roller skating, traveling and camping, most of all she loved her grandchildren, eating out, and playing cards with her family. Her husband Stephen L. Garstka whom she married February 20, 1945 passed away December 5, 1982. Dorothy is survived by three children: Harriet (Joe) DiNobile of Youngstown, Steven (Cathy) Garstka of Austintown, and Richard (JoAnn) Garstka of Tabor City, NC; one brother John (Judy) Ray of Canfield; grandchildren: Joseph (Angela) DiNobile, Jason (Tabatha) DiNobile, Steven Garstka, Jr., Cindy Gore, Karen Bretcher, Theresa Lipscomb, and Sandra LaMont; and great grandchildren: Jadon, Hannah, Jessica, Danielle, Desmond, Crystal, Mary Jo, and Tommy. Besides her parents and husband, Dorothy is preceded in death by two brothers Harold and Frank Ray. The Garstka family would like to thank the staff and administration of Northside Medical Center for their compassion. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wickliffe Presbyterian Church in Dorothy's name. Friends may call from 5 PM until 8 PM Tuesday and from 10 AM until 11 AM Wednesday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel.
