Funeral services will be held 11am Monday in the Tabernacle Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Austintown for Dorothy L. Leedy, 87, who died early Friday morning at the Hospice House in Poland. She was born April 9, 1921 in Punxsutawney, Pa., a daughter of the late George A. and Rachel (Hobba) Myers. She was a member of the Tabernacle Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Austintown, Miriam Chapter Order of the Eastern Star and had been a Volunteer Auxiliary for W.R.C.S. for 35 years. She also enjoyed bowling and playing Five Hundred, but her greatest love was her family. She is survived by her husband Robert A. Leedy whom she married April 17, 1943. She also leaves a son Ronald S. (Susan) Leedy of Garden Grove, Calif.; a daughter Joyce A. (Robert "Chip") Williams of Channahon, IL; a sister Beatrice Mound of Youngstown; her two dear and precious granddaughters; Kristen and Lindsey Williams; three nieces; Nancy Pietra and Diane Pelanda of Youngstown, and Janice Will of Canton, Ga.; and a nephew; William Mound of Austintown. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son Robert. Friends may call from 2-5pm Sunday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel and from 10-11am Monday at the church with services immediately following. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Tabernacle Evangelical Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund or to Hospice House.
