Dorothy May King

Burghill Dorothy May King, 93, passed away Wednesday morning, April 23, 2014 at UPMC Horizon in Farrell, PA. Dorothy was born on November 5, 1920 in Leetonia, Ohio a daughter of James Sheldon and Agnes Elizabeth (Jones) VanDyke. She married her husband Arthur J. King on June 4, 1940 in Twinsburg, OH and raised two sons and three daughters together. She attended Miracle Valley Church in Hermitage, PA. Dorothy enjoyed having a fun time, laughing, and enjoyed life to the fullest. She was always a joy to be around and she loved to be around people. She also loved to go fishing, cooking, baking, quilting, sewing, and playing cards. Dorothy will be missed by her two sons: Kenneth James and his wife Jeanie King of Warren, OH and Timothy Wayne and his wife Rhonda King of Brookfield, OH three daughters: Diane Lee and her husband Warren Clark of Brookfield, OH, Joan Carol and her husband Gerald Williams of Jefferson, OH, Trina Lynn and her husband Donald Bicehouse of Burghill, OH, three sisters: Ruby Maag, Alberta Deneman, and Virginia Myers, eleven grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, fifteen, great-grandchildren, and one great-great grand daughter. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, whom passed away on November 25, 1998. A memorial service will be held for Dorothy at Miracle Valley Church, located at 2119 Valley View Road Hermitage, PA 16148 on Friday May 9, 2014 at 6:00PM. Interment will take place at Brookfield Township Cemetery at a later date. The family has requested that no flowers are to be sent at this time.
