Dorothy Seifert Bloomfield

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday at Lane Funeral Home Mineral Ridge Chapel for Dorothy Seifert Bloomfield of Humility House who passed away Friday morning. Dorothy was born January 11, 1912 in Mineral Ridge a daughter of Lewis H. and Isabelle Christine (Hood) Seifert. Dorothy was a school teacher for Weathersfield School District from 1932-1937, Green Township Schools for one year, and Coventry Township School System where she retired from in 1969. She was a member of Oak Island Presbyterian Church in Long Beach, NC, Harriet Taylor Upton Association, Trumbull CO. Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society, Summit Co. Retired teachers Association, Ohio Education Association, Brunswick Town Chapter or the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Associate Member of the Mary Chesney Chapter of the NSDAR in Warren, and a member of the Kent State Alumni. She is survived by two children Sally (Richard) Mazer of Cortland, Richard (Brenda) Bloomfield of Greer, SC; four sisters Carol (Larry) Walker of Cuyahoga Falls, June Baer of Holt, MI, Lois Russell of Warren, and Harriet Gifford of Niles; seven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert F. Bloomfield whom she married May 29, 1937 and passed away in 1988; one sister Hazel Hoffman and one brother Lewis Seifert Jr. Friends may call at the Lane Funeral Home Mineral Ridge Chapel from 5-7 PM Sunday and one hour prior to the services Monday at the funeral home.
