Douglas Ashley Wilson, 58 of Warren, died Wednesday morning, January 25, 2012, at St. Joseph Health Center. He was born October 29, 1953 in Warren, the son of the late Jack E. and Carole Ann Shannon Wilson. Doug was a 1972 graduate of Howland High School. He worked as an inspector for General Motors Fabricating Plant in Lordstown for 21 years before retiring in 2000. Doug was a member of UAW union No. 1714. He enjoyed collecting movies and was a trivia buff. He loved his many dogs over the years, especially Spunky. Doug is survived by his beloved daughter, Marjorie Ann Miller of Piedmont, Ohio; two sisters, Marjorie Ann (Bill) Collins and Janine Shannon Wilson both of Howland; one brother, Les D. (Tee) Wilson of Athens, Ga.; four grandchildren, Alax, Daphne, Aidan and Leighton; one niece, Bethany; one nephew, Brian and his caregiver, Bob Clemons. The funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Roberts-Clark Chapel of Lane Family Funeral Homes in Warren, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. before the service on Sunday. Burial will be at Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna.
