AUSTINTOWN- Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday at the Lane Funeral Home-Austintown Chapel for Earl “Sonny” Biggs age 71 of Penny Lane who died Friday afternoon at his home from a heart attack. Earl was born Oct. 25, 1931 in Fairmont, West Virginia and was the son of Earl F. and Mary Virginia (Brown) Biggs Sr.. He had owned and operated Biggs Plumbing and had been a Master Plumber working out of Plumber and Pipefitters Local # 225 which is now #396. He had been a 4-H leader for 20 years started the Indian Acres Kemo Sabes Horse Club, was a board member for the Austintown Girls Softball League, served on the Austintown Park Board, a member of the Optimist Club, the Austintown Community Church where he served on the church finance committee and served in the U.S. Air force during the Korean War from 1951-54. Earl leaves his wife Patricia Ann (Brown) Biggs whom he married Aug. 16, 1958. He also leaves three daughters Barbara Beachler of Austintown, Betsy (Brian) Skelly of Gallatin, TN, Tish Biggs of Austintown, two sons Kip (Linda) Biggs of Leetonia, OH, Ben (Bobbi) Biggs of Canfield, five sisters, Mary Ann Harshman of Newton Falls, OH, Carol Koenes of Peru, IN, Betty Webb of Lordstown, Linda Cortese of High Point, NC, Pam Baker of Lordstown, four brothers Bob Biggs of Warren, Larry, Rick and Gary Biggs all of Lordstown, 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister Nancy Huffman and a granddaughter Shelby Linden. Friends may call from 5-8 PM Monday at the funeral home. Family requests that material contributions be made in his name to your favorite charity.
