Edith I. (Culver) Hoza, age 76, of Warren, Ohio, died Friday, August 11, 2006, at 9:00PM at Gillette Nursing Home in Warren, Ohio.She was born on July 2, 1930 in Bristolville, Oh., the daughter of the late John A. Culver and the late Cora Sly Culver.Edith was a lifetime area resident and spent most of her life working as a home maker.Her husband, Thomas E. Hoza, whom she married in 1966, preceded her in death on November 21, 1978.Mrs. Hoza liked to keep busy. She enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, playing bingo, gardening, bowling, reading biographies as well as keeping up on current events.She is survived by three daughters, Diane (Bob) Cain of Johnston Twp., Norma (Dan) Maley of Cortland, and Karen (Gino) Kitakis also of Cortland. A son, Harley (Donna) Siekkinen of St. Petersburg FL., three sisters, Alberta Thomas of Lake Worth, FL., Phyllis Chapla of Mentor, OH., and Dora Wilson of Nahunta, GA.Also surviving are eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas, a sister, Lois Huff, and three brothers, Laverne, Donald and Arthur Culver.A private burial will be held at All Souls Cemetery at a later date.Arrangements are being handled by Shafer-Winans Funeral Chapel, 164 North High Street, Cortland, Ohio.In lieu of flowers, material contributions can be made to:Harbor Lights Hospice, 24950 Chardon Road, Suit 102, Willoughby Hills, OH., 44094.
