Funeral services will be held at 11am Friday at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel for Edith Mae Sterrett, 98, who died Tuesday evening at Essex of Salem Healthcare Center. She was born March 20, 1912 in Peru, Indiana, the daughter of Harry and Anna (Musser) Butts. She spent her adult life as a homemaker raising and caring for her family. She was a former member of the Berlin Center United Methodist Church and she enjoyed square dancing. She is survived by two children; Leona (Henry) Snyder of Canfield and Eddie (Jacqueline) Davis of Benton, PA. She also leaves behind a sister, Eldonna Beck of Indiana; five grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and eight great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three husbands; Ralph Davis, Ralph Feisley, and Maurice Sterrett; two brothers, Howard and Claude Butts; and a granddaughter, Joann Harmon. Friends may call for one hour prior to services from 10-11am Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of The Valley in Edith's memory.
