Mc Donald- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am Friday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help for Edna Mae Betts who died Saturday morning at the Humility House. Mrs. Betts was born June 13, 1912 in Youngstown the daughter of Patrick J. and Catherine McCormick Holmes and was a life long area resident. She was a member of the church where she had served a president of the Alter & Rosary Society; she was also a graduate of the Youngstown College Business School and loved to crochet. Mrs. Betts is survived by her daughter Catherine Stitt of McDonald, sons; Jack Betts of Hubbard, James Betts of Sun City Center, FL.,thirteen grandchildren, twenty eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Tod E. Betts whom she married in 1933, died August 17, 1980, sister Marguerite Flynn and brothers Jim, Bill, Joseph and Earl Holmes. Family and friends may call from 5-8 pm Thursday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel. The family requests that memorial contributions take the form of donations to the McDonald Community Chest P.O. Box 335 McDonald Ohio 44437.
