Edward H. Price Jr., of Boardman, passed away at 3:10 a.m. Saturday, August 06, 2011 at the Hospice House in Poland. He was 86 years old. Mr. Price was born on October 18, 1924 in Youngstown the son of the late Edward H. Sr. and Ella (Bickel) Price. Mr. Price retired after 37 years as an electrician with Youngstown Sheet & Tube Co. and with the Liberty Steel Company. Mr. Price also worked with Williamsburg West for the last 20 years. Mr. Price was a member of Christ Church United Presbyterian and was a member of the Youngstown Police Auxillary. He enjoyed dancing and roller skating and wintering in Indiantown Florida for the past 20 years. Most of all, Mr. Price loved and cherished his family and friends. Mr. Price was married on August 4, 1945 to the former Catherine Edelblute and she preceded him in death on April 4, 1989. Mr. Price is survived by four children Cathy Price of Boardman, Brad (Gretchen) Price of Poland, Edward III(Emily) Price of Austintown and Rebecca Price of Austintown; eight grandchildren Stephanie Kennedy, Christina (Joseph) Bonarigo, Edward H. Price IV, Matthew (Michelle) Price, Steve (Daniella) Price, Jane Price, Carrie (Toby) Borcoman and Amanda Rooper; and nine great grandchildren Caitlin and Gracie Kennedy, Joey and Jenna Bonarigo, Blake and Liam Borcoman, Gabriella and Olivia Price and Matthew Price. He is also survived by a sister Gayle Shields of Michigan and a brother David Price of Howland. Besides his parents and wife, Mr. Price was preceded in death by four sisters Eileen Lewis, Elizabeth Lutz, Elvira Muccio and Anna Mae Carter; and a brother Gordon Price. Calling hours will take place TODAY, Sunday, August 7, 2011 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel, 5797 Mahoning Ave. Austintown, Ohio 44515 and again on Monday, August 8, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at Poland Village Baptist Church, 79 Hill Dr, Poland, Ohio 44514. A Funeral Service will take place on Monday, August 8, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the church. The family suggests that memorial contributions take the form of donations in Mr. Price's name to either the Northeastern Ohio Adoptive Services or Angels for Animals.
