Edward M. Morrison, Sr., age 62, of Champion Twp., Ohio, died Friday, June 29, 2007, at 8:15 AM at his Residence. He was born on February 7, 1945 in Warren, Ohio, the son of the late Edward A. Morrison and the late Linda C. (Durst) Morrison. Mr. Morrison was employed by Delphi Packard Electric where he had worked as a journeyman electrician for 37 1/2 years, retiring on November 1, 2005. Edward was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp., having served from 1963 - 1967. He was a member of the Champion Presbyterian Church, Kinsman Royal Arch Masons, Warren Chapter, Council and Commandrey of York Rite, American Legion, White Oaks Shooting Club, Ohio Rifle and Pistol Association, and the Cortland Moose Lodge #1012. Edward was a life member of the NRA, Clan Morrison Society, Al Koran Shrine and the Cortland Masonic Lodge #529. He is survived by his wife Chiyoko (Maeda) Morrison, whom he married on August 10, 1966. One son, Edward M. Morrison Jr. of Cortland. One daughter, Lisa Wiece of Mayfield Village, Ohio. Three sisters, Linda (Larry) Fellenger of Southington, Kathy (James) Slater of Champion and Melody Morrison of Burton. Four brothers, James (Jeanne) Morrison of Howland, Don Morrison of Warren, Mark Morrison of Warren and Joel Morrison of Champion. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Tyler, Elektra, Trevor and Tori. Arrangements are being handled by Shafer-Winans Funeral Chapel, 164 North High Street, Cortland, Ohio, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday, July 2, 2007.
