Austintown- Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday at Wickliffe Presbyterian Church located at 45 Idlewood Rd. Austintown for Edward Clark of Austintown who died early Saturday morning. Mr. Clark was born April 4, 1923 in Doran Va. The son of William E. and Margaret (Vincil) Clark. Mr. Clark had worked at General Fireproofing for 16 years and then had been Head Custodian at Frank Ohl Middle School in Austintown for 25 years retiring in 1984. He was a charter member of the church where he was a charter Elder, sang in the choir, member of the men’s club and served as custodian of the church for 15 years. He was also a veteran serving in the US Army during WWII., and attended Antonine Sisters Adult Day Care Center. Mr. Clark is survived by his children Sandra and Bill Wayland of Austintown, Rev. Thomas E. and Steven Begert-Clark of Warren, David and Wanda Clark of Atlanta Ga., Diane Clark and Debi Fynes both of Austintown. He also leaves three sisters Stella Thompson of Oak Ridge Tn., Dorothy Vari of Youngstown, Helen Evans of Austintown, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Ramona (Baun) Clark whom he married October 30, 1944 died August 11, 2002. Friends may call from 4-8 PM Monday and 10-11 AM Tuesday at the church. The family requests that Memorial Tributes take the form of donations to the church. Arrangements are being handled by the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel.
