Mineral Ridge- Funeral services will be held at 11 am Friday at the Lane Funeral Home Mineral Ridge Chapel for Ed Juart who died Monday afternoon in North Side Hospital from complications of a stroke. Ed was born May 14, 1918 in Plumville Pa. the son of Andrew and Susanna (McMaus) Juart and moved to Mineral Ridge in 1950 from Pa. Ed was employed for Youngstown Sheet and Tube as a platform operator for 28 years retiring in 1978. After his retirement he did landscaping work, helped his wife with her work at Lane Funeral Home and did various odd jobs. Ed and Pearl sold sweet corn and other vegetables for 45 years from their home. Ed was a life member of the Western Reserve Fish & Game and the Vienna Fish and Game Club. He was an avid bingo player and loved to fish, hunt and go camping. Ed is survived by his wife of 60 years Pearl (Mitchell) Juart whom he married June 3, 1944, daughters; Jean (Bert) Rick of Austintown, Karen (Bill) Binion of Mineral Ridge, sons; Kenneth (Joyce) Juart of Austintown, Randy (Stephanie) Juart of Hilliard , step son Lloyd Tompkins of Mineral Ridge eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren, three sisters; Mary Ayers of Smithsville Pa., Ellen Juart of Ravenna, Bernadette Walters of Georgia and several special nieces and nephews and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Adeline Burns, Kathryn VanHorn and brothers, Charles, Louis and Theodore Juart. Ed had many friends and people who loved him and will be sadly missed by all. Family and friends may call from 5-8 pm Wednesday and Thursday at the Lane Funeral Home Mineral Ridge Chapel. Burial will be in Kerr Cemetery.
