Edward William Kubic

Services will be at 10 AM Thursday in St. John Lutheran Church in Youngstown for Edward William Kubic Sr., 77, of Youngstown who passed away Tuesday morning at his home. Edward was born November 7, 1929 in Youngstown the son of Thomas and Ann (Remias) Kubic. Ed was a welder for Wean United and had also worked as a cranes man with U.S. Steel prior to working at Wean. He was a member of the church, and the Masonic Argus Lodge. Edward leaves his wife the former Helen Grace Kotmair whom he married October 26, 1957, one son ; Dr. Edward W. (Karen) Kubic Jr. of Cortland, Two daughters; Laura Ann (Jay) Summer and Cynthia (James) Bassett both of Canfield, one brother; Thomas Kubic of Youngstown, and 10 grandchildren: Edward III, Kelli, Parker, Emma, Joshua, Matthew, Lauren, Justin, Kyle, and Patrick. Besides his parents, Edward is preceded in death by four sisters; Ann Remias, Elizabeth Trnavsky, Sue Antalik, and Olga Klimchak, and three brothers; Martin, Steve and John Kubic. Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 PM today at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel and again from 9:30 until 10 AM at the church. In lieu of flowers the family request material tributes take the form of donations to Hospice of the Valley 5190 Market Street Youngstown, Ohio 44512 or to St. John Lutheran Church 1429 Mahoning Avenue Youngstown Ohio 44509 in Edward’s name.
