Edwin C. Ewing

Lake Milton-Funeral services will be held 10 AM Tuesday at the Lane Funeral Home-Austintown Chapel for Edwin C. “Bud” Ewing, age 67 of 17447 Warren Ave. who passed away peacefully Saturday evening in Northside Hospital. Bud was born April 6, 1938 in Salem, OH and was the son of Edwin Harold and Jessie Laverne (Young) Ewing. He retired in 2000 from Guard Marks Inc. in Twinsburg where he had been a security guard. He had previously served in the U.S. Army for 20 years retiring Feb. 28, 1978 as a Sgt. 1st Class from Ft. Dix in New Jersey. He had served in the Dominican Republic, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam for two tours, and had been stationed in Germany deployed by N.A.T.O. serving in Turkey, Greece, England and Italy. Bud had also been a paratrooper in the Army. Bud had also worked at Dogwood Golf Course in North Jackson. He was a graduate of Canfield High School, member of the V.F.W. #9571 in Ellsworth, Ellsworth Sportsman Club and the Coon Club. Bud is survived by his wife Karen Tanner whom he married Nov. 26, 2003. He also leaves three children, Jessie Franks of Austintown, Karen D. Ewing of Weeki Wachee, FL, Tammy Feliciano of Austintown, five step children, Debbie Stevens, John Utley, Darrin Utley, David Seem all of Lake Milton and Kathy Priest of Alliance. Bud also leaves three sisters Eileen Akers of Oregon, Doris Bailey of Berlin Center, Karen Schuller of Michigan and five grandchildren from his first marriage, Eric, Danielle, Clay, Tracie, Domonic and numerous other grandchildren from his second marriage. Friends may call at the Lane Funeral Home-Austintown Chapel from 5-8 Monday evening.
