Funeral services will be held 1 PM Sunday at Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Edwin P. Luth, 88, who passed away on Monday afternoon at Briarfield at the Ridge in Mineral Ridge. Edwin was born June 3, 1922 in Youngstown, the son of Eric and Elizabeth (Habegger) Luth. After completing a tour of duty with the United States Navy during World War II, he began a long career with Continental Bakery. There he worked his way up from a driver all the way to manager of the Wonder Bread Bakery in Detroit. He resided in Michigan for 34 years before returning to the area in 2001. He was an avid fisherman and outdoor enthusiast. He leaves to cherish his memory three children: Paul E. (Terry) Luth of Tampa, FL, Nancy A. (David) Parker of Sylvania, and Diane (Phil Becraft) Luth of Ames, Iowa; three grandchildren: Jeffrey, Kayla, and Devin; loving brothers Robert (Ruth) Luth of Salem and William Luth of Canfield; and a loving sister Elsie M. Luth of Canfield. Besides his parents, Edwin was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years Ann D. "Dolly" (Dubiel), whom he married September 4, 1950 and one sister Gladys Luth. Friends may call from 12:30 until the time of the services Sunday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel.
