Eleanor Callahan of Brookfield, died at 9:35 PM Saturday at O’Brien Memorial Home. She was 90. Mrs. Callahan was born in Clark, PA on Nov. 7, 1915, a daughter of John and Laura Bell Weikel Stull She attended Hazel Dell School. A one room school house near her home, which still stands today. Her husband, George A. “Red” Callahan, whom she married June 16, 1933, died January 29, 1995. Survivors include: 1 son, Thomas (Marilyn) Callahan of Brookfield, OH; 1 daughter, Margaret (Thomas) LaGuardia of Broadview Heights, OH; 1 sister, Netti (Last Name Unknown) of Canton, OH; 5 grandchildren, Michael Thomas Callahan, Debra Evans, Lisa M. Deiger, Gary Thomas LaGuardia, and Greg Anthony LaGuardia; Also survived by numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her parents; 4 sisters, Elizabeth Cassidy, Jenny Osborne, Alice Osborne, and Elda Winner. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at the Madasz Funeral Chapel, Brookfield, with Rev. Daniel Hockenberry, Pastor of Brookfield Christian Church. Calling hours will be from 5-8 PM Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Brookfield Twp. Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Friends of the Brookfield Library
