Elizabeth Allenna Campbell

Elizabeth Allenna Campbell of 320 Golf Drive, Brookfield, died at 8:35 AM Saturday at Sharon Regional Health Care System following an extended illness. She was 97. Mrs. Campbell was born in Benton County, Tennessee on December 13, 1907, a daughter of James Westley Matlock and Sarah Jane (Goshorn) Matlock. She was a homemaker and had worked for Miller's Frock Shop, Springfield, Ohio as a seamstress. Elizabeth was a former member of the Church of Christ, Sidney, Ohio and a member of the homemaker's club of Springfield. Her husband, Marion C. Campbell, whom she married April 26, 1924, died July 22, 2001. Survivors include: 4 children, Marion Francis Campbell, and Mrs. Roger (Helen Jane) Bayes, both of Springfield, Carol Honel-Batchhelder, Brookfield, and Miriam Colleen DuCharme, ManHattan Kansas; 1 brother, Lawrence Matlock, Phoenix, Arizona; 1 sister, Imogene Connelly, Phoenix, Arizona; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her parents; son, Veron Campbell; daughter, Shirley Campbell; 2 sisters, Eva Matlock and Martha High; and 2 brothers Clarence and Albert Matlock. Funeral Services will be held in Springfield, Ohio. Calling hours will be from 7-9 PM Monday at the Madasz Funeral Chapel, Brookfield. Burial will be in Cedar Point Cemetery, Perry Twp., Ohio.
