Elizabeth Ann “Betty” (Gilmore) Eyrich, 84, of Cortland, passed away Thursday evening, May 4, 2011 at the Hospice House in Poland from complications following a stroke. Betty was born March 16, 1927 in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Charles and Clara (Waldeck) Gilmore. She was a lifetime area resident of the Mahoning Valley and a 1944 graduate of Howland High School. Betty worked as an executive secretary and human resource manager for Goodwill Industries for many years. She attended the Bolindale Christian Church in Howland Township and enjoyed reading and gardening. She will be dearly missed by her loving husband Elmer L. Eyrich of Cortland whom she married November 2, 1946 and with whom she shared 64 years of marriage, her children Kathy M. Storey of Warren and Bruce W. Eyrich of Littleton, CO, seven grandchildren; Adrienne Danso, Corissa Danso-McWhirter, Robert S. Storey, Julianne Storey, and Michael, Halie and Heidi Eyrich, five step grandchildren, one great grandchild, and two brothers Robert and James Gilmore both of Warren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barb Danso. Rev. Charles Kindle will conduct a funeral service on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel where family and friends may visit for one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will take place in Crown Hill Burial Park.
