Elizabeth Esenwein—82 Austintown—Private services were held in Calvary Cemetery Chapel for Elizabeth Esenwein, 82, of Austintown who passed away early Sunday morning at her home. Elizabeth was born January 17, 1922 in Lowellville the daughter of Benjamin and Josephine (Indingaro) Toto. She retired in 1985 from South Side Hospital where she had worked in the Dietary Department. Elizabeth was a member of St. Joseph Church in Austintown and its Senior Citizens Group. She was also a member of the Senior Citizens Group at St. Christine Church. Her husband Augusta Esenwein whom she married May 1, 1948 passed away March 31, 1974. Elizabeth leaves nine children; William Vantell of Austintown, Richard Vantell of Canfield, Rosemarie McAtee of Canfield, Linda Siciliano of Austintown, Nancy Potts of Louisville, KY, Van Esenwein of Austintown, Doris Opalick of Canfield, Betty Wetzl of Austintown, and Janet Esenwein at home, and one sister Sadie Mosconi of Greenville, PA. Elizabeth also leaves twenty-three grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Besides her husband, she is preceded in death by three brothers; Ralph, John, and Carmen Toto, and two sisters; Frances Rulli and Louise Czopur. There were no calling hours. Arrangements were by Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel. The family request that material contributions be made to MVI Hospice 4891 Belmont Avenue Youngstown, Ohio 44505 in Elizabeth’s name.
