Elizabeth Johanas Leupe

Canfield - Elizabeth J. Leupe, age 96 of 40 Court St. died late Tuesday evening at her home. Elizabeth was born September 18, 1910 in Utrecht, Netherlands and came to the United States Jan. 16, 1957. She was the daughter of the late Franz and Elizabeth (VanHolten) Meinders. Elizabeth had worked for the Canfield Board of Education as a custodian retiring a number of years ago. She was a member of the Canfield United Methodist Church and AARP. Her husband Carolus Johanas Leupe whom she married Feb. 20, 1932 died in 1977. She is survived by a son Ronald and his wife Gracie Leupe, Sr. with whom she made her home and a grandson Ronald Leupe, Jr. and two step grandchildren Kenny and Brent Miller. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a sister Franciska Meinders. It was Elizabeth’s wishes that there be no calling hours or funeral services.
