Elizabeth K. Cottrell

WARREN: Elizabeth Kay Cottrell, age 62, formerly of Mineral Ridge, passed away Friday, January 2, 2015 at Hospice House, Poland, Ohio. Elizabeth was born December 17, 1952 in West Virginia to parents; Jimmy and Leahola (Whitehead) Goldsmith. Elizabeth was a graduate of Niles High School and earned an associate's degree in business from Trumbull Business College. Elizabeth married Ronald Cottrell on July 21, 1973, together they shared 36 years of marriage together and had three wonderful children. Ronald passed away on November 15, 2009. Elizabeth was a member of Central Baptist Church in Niles. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, travel, and dinner with friends. Being with her family was the most cherished time she could spend. Survivors include her daughters; Kary (Donald Phillips, Jr.) Cottrell, Mineral Ridge, Allison (David) Jones, Niles, son; Brian (Alicia) Cottrell, Lordstown, brother; Edward Goldsmith, Strongsville, sisters; Leahola Welton, Phoenix, AZ., Judy Vaccaro, Niles, Deloris (William) Carroll, Niles, Dorothy (Jim) Gilmore, Niles, and granddaughter; Airiana Jones. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters; Virginia Jackson, Charlotte Niswonger, brothers; David and Jimmy Goldsmith. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 6, 2015 from 5-7pm at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Mineral Ridge Chapel. Funeral Services will begin at 7:00pm following the visitation. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made in Elizabeth's memory to Hospice House, Sharrot Road, Poland, Ohio.
