Ella Mae (Waring) Wolcott, age 98, of Dayton, Ohio died Saturday morning, February 14, 2009, at Glen Wood Nursing Home in Dayton. She was born March 20, 1910 in Ashton-under-lyne, England the daughter of the late George C. and Lydia (Hughes) Waring. She was a lifetime Warren-Howland resident. Ella was a 1928 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. She worked for 15 years as secretary and receptionist for the Trumbull Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She had been an active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed furniture refinishing and loved traveling. Ella and her husband traveled throughout the U.S. and Europe. Her husband, Harry L. Wolcott, whom she married February 14, 1932, preceded her in death on January 4, 1999. One son, James L. Wolcott died in 2002 and one sister, Viola Brady also preceded in death. She is survived by one son, Jack R. (Lynda) Wolcott of Daphne, Ala.; one daughter, Dr. Jilaine W. (Rev. Dr. Steven) Fewell of Centerville; a daughter-in-law, Edwina Wolcott of Howland; ten grandchildren, Lynette (Terry) Pirman, James E. Wolcott, Todd A. (Flo) Wolcott, Nicole E. Kellner-Smith, Jason L. (Michelle) Kellner, Jennifer L. Fewell, J. Ryan (Tara) Fewell, Leslie A. Fewell, Matthew R. (Jennifer) Wolcott and Jonathan R. (Christina) Berezo; fifteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel in Warren, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday and one hour prior to the 11:00 am funeral service on Tuesday, February 17, 2009, with Pastor Dee Emmert officiating. Burial will be at Howland Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the memorial fund at Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
