Elsa Colecchi

Elsa (Ciarolla) Colecchi, 98 of Warren, passed at 1:15pm, Wednesday December 17, 2008 at Windsor House of Champion. She was born the daughter of the late Joseph and Pasqualina (Tobacco) Ciarolla on September 21, 1910 in Roccaroso, Italy. Elsa moved to the area from Italy on July 8, 1954. She completed a diploma program in Italy for dress making and patternmaking and was a seamstress and tailor in Warren for many years before retiring in the early 1980s. She was a member of SCOPE craft classes and enjoyed knitting, embroidering, and pretty-punch. Elsa is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ. Elsa is survived by her three children; Linda M. (Frank) Bagaglia of Cortland, Mara (Nick) Perrino of Champion Twp., and Nello P. (Jane) Colecchi of Southington; her 13 grandchildren; Anna Marie, Frank, Cynthia, Ronald, Michael, Marina, Nick, Michael, Joe, Nancy, Vicki, Shelia, and Nello; 25 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by an infant son and daughter; and her siblings, Victor, Maria, Carmella, Yolanda, and Madalena. Funeral Services will be on Monday, December 22, 2008 at 11am at the Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel in Warren. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4-7pm and on Monday an hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Warren. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers that material contributions be made to IMA International Medical Assistance, 300 W 22nd Street, Oak Brook, Illinois 60523-8842 or to the church 1900 Keefer Road, Girard, Ohio 44420.
