Elwood Meyers

Services will be held at 11 AM today in Four Mile Run Christian Church for Elwood Meyers, 80, of Austintown who passed away Thursday morning in St. Elizabeth Medical Center Boardman Campus. Elwood was born December 9, 1926 in Summerset PA, the son of Roy and Minnie Pearl (Eiford) Meyers. He came to the area in 1955. Elwood was a press operator with Mackenzie Muffler for 20 years. He was a member of the church and loved reading the Bible. His hobbies included working on his cars and tractors and spending time with his family. Elwood leaves three children; Sue Porterfield of Connellsville PA, Don (Mary) Meyers of Columbiana, and Patty (David) Ausnehmer of North Lima, five grandchildren and one great grandchild. He also leaves one sister, four brothers. Elwood is preceded in death by twin sons, one brother and one sister. Family and friends may call from 10 AM until 11 AM today at the church. Arrangements were by Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel.
