Emil Richard Sill of Vienna Twp., OH, died on Thursday (10-18-2007) at the St. Joseph Health Care Center in Warren. He was 75. Mr. Sill was born in Youngstown, OH on January 22, 1932, a son of George H. and Sadie (Walker) Sill. A graduate from Vienna High School, Emil sold insurance for many years for Gibson Insurance before starting his own agency in Austintown in 1972 which he operated until his retirement in 1994. In his youth he was goat farmer and had also been employed as a baker for Sill’s Cake Kitchen, a clerk at Morris Lumber Company, a draftsman for Mallory-Sharon Titanium, and had worked at Bob’s Roto-Tiller Sales in Vienna. He was a member of Vienna Presbyterian Church, Vienna, OH, the Vienna Senior Citizens Club, and the Hubbard Archery Club. In his spare time, he greatly enjoyed playing chess and reading religious books of all types. Emil is survived by his sister Donna Jean Schieffer with whom he made his home; a nephew Christopher J. Schieffer; two nieces Marlene R. of Alexandria, VA, and Brenda L. Robb and her husband Jim of Cincinnati, OH; and one great-nephew Jim J. Robb III of Cincinnati, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents; by his brother, Robert G. Sill; and his niece Mary Alice Schieffer. According to Emil’s wishes he will be cremated and funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday at Madasz Funeral Chapel 6923 Warren-Sharon Road Brookfield, OH 44403, with the Rev. Al Shakley and Rev. Christopher Yambar, Pastors. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4-6 PM at the Madasz Funeral Chapel, Brookfield. Burial will be in Vienna Township Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, the family suggests contributions can be made to the memorial fund of the Vienna Presbyterian Church.
