Emory J. Bunts

Niles- Funeral services will be held 1PM Thursday at the Lane Funeral Home-Austintown Chapel for Emory J. Bunts, age 79 of 1551 Kearney St. who died late Saturday night at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. Emory was born June 11, 1924 in Ellsworth and was the son of Harry and Olive (Ritchey) Bunts. He had owned and operated Emory’s Carpet Cleaning retiring in 1995. He had served in the U.S. Army during WWII, was a member of the American Legion Post #737 in Lake Milton and had helped run Bingo at the Legion Hall. Emory was preceded in death by his wife Beatrice (Curran) Bunts whom he married in 1947 and died in 1988. He is survived by a sister Donna Steinmetz of Rialto, Calif., his companion of eight years Ruth Rummell Szabados and two nephews and one niece. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Harry Bunts and a niece Carol Wehrman. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 PM Wed. The family requests that material contributions be made to Hospice c/o Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
