Ethel Adelaide Kaulback, 89, of Warren, passed away Monday evening, March 2, 2009 at the Hospice House in Poland. Born in Marlborough, Mass on February 26, 1920, Ethel was the daughter of the late John Clark Vernon Baker and Ethel (Brandt) Baker. A 1937 graduate of Havenhill High School in Massachusetts, Ethel came to the Howland Twp. area in 1954 from Manchester, New Hampshire. She retired in 1980 from Montgomery Ward where she worked in sales of sewing machines and vacuum cleaners for 10 years. Ethel was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church and a past member of the church's altar guild. She belonged to an area ladies club for more then 20 years and enjoyed reading, playing cards, touring museums, and being an amateur artist. Ethel volunteered her time as a docent at the Butler Art Museum in Youngstown for many years. She was preceded in death in 1971 by her husband George W. Kaulback whom she married January 22, 1941. Together they shared 30 years of marriage and five children. Ethel will be dearly missed by her loving children, Jeffrey W. (Sheri) Kaulback of Lebanon, MS, Allan C. (Catherine) Kaulback of Kinsman, Lawrence G. (Lisa) Kaulback of Howland Twp., Victoria M. (Gerald) Stavlas of Bay Village, OH, and Roberta Honabach of Warren, three grandchildren, Melissa, John, and Christopher, a step grandson, Joshua, two great grandchildren, Christian and Hunter, and a brother, Charles E. Hunt of Vienna, VA. According to Ethel's wishes she will be cremated. The Rev. Donna Maree will conduct a memorial service on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at 12PM at the Christ Episcopal Church where family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will take place in the Christ Church columbarium. The family has entrusted arrangements to the Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel. Material contributions may be made in Ethel's memory to the Christ Episcopal Church Memorial Fund at 2627 Atlantic St. NE Warren, OH 44483.
